Days 1-3Trish's eyes shot open as she jolted awake. "...THE CHALLENGE!" she shrieked. She scurried across the terribly built bamboo shelter, crawling over a sleeping Jim as she did so. Jim stirred, but didn't wake. Trish stepped into the hot Brazilian sun and looked around the Rheali camp. Besides herself and Jim, Trish could only spot out one other person left behind at camp. Teresa, who had fallen asleep by the dwindling fire. Trish shook her awake. "Wha--what is it?!" she said half asleep. "We're late!! Apparently there was a challenge??" "Oh....crap." Teresa responded. Trish and Teresa left Jim behind and sprinted down the beach, following a set of five footprints throughout the sand. When they rounded a corner far down the beach, they could hear JT screaming. "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" "RHEALI WINS IMMUNITY!" Hayden yelled shortly after Jeff. They had missed the entire first Immunity Challenge. While the Tocola tribe stayed behind with Jeff to receive Tribal Council instructions; Hayden, JT, Mary, Amanda, and Bubba began walking back in Trish's direction. Bubba was carrying the red tribe flag and Hayden was holding a wooden Immunity figurine. "were was everyone" asked the illiterate JT. Trish shrugged and apologized. She thought to herself how thankful and fortunate she was that Rheali had pulled out the first win. Knowing how bad not showing up was, she counted her blessings. Then again, she thought back to the vegetable named Jim back in the shelter. 'A good buffer if anything.' she thought to herself. 'I could use a buffer right about now.' For Trish, this was not the ideal start.
